ITA Insignia

The Yin and Yang symbolizes the harmony of the two opposites: fire and water. It also symbolizes the fact that Tae Kwon Do is both a hard and a soft form of self-defense which compliments the movements of an opponent.

The outline of the USA represents the location where the ITA was founded.

The Fist signifies strength, unity, and determination.

The Globe represents the expansion of the ITA to unify Tae Kwon Do practitioners throughout the world.

The Colors used in the ITA insignia: White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, and Black, are the colors of the belts in the Tae Kwon Do ranking system.
