KMAI 2003 Olympics

Students, families, and friends gathered for the KMAI Olympics held on November 8, 2003. ITA President and Founder Grandmaster James S. Benko served as the Head Official. He was assisted by Master John McDowell and Master David McDowell in judging. Master Ron Jovonovitz organized and directed the series of events with help from Master Joan McDowell and Joe McDowell.

The participants were divided into three teams, each consisting of a variety of ranks from white belt to Black belt, with Black belts serving as team captains. Team captains chose one representative from their team to compete in each of the different events.

Event: "Basic Actions", Aaron Whitek and Kirstin Kohl.

Event: "Longest Series of 4-Directional Kicks". Eric Cutean kicking, holding shield bags are: Master Joan McDowell, Master Susan Whitman, and Joe McDowell.

Events included: Hyungs competition, Basic actions, Highest jump tuck, Long jump, Most push-ups in 30 seconds, Most punches in 15 seconds, Longest series of four-directional kicks, Free sparring, Longest Headstand, Longest tahn bong balance, Longest v-sit, and One steps. Each of the competitors made a contribution through their outstanding effort.
